Myrtle Beach is best for sunlovers from late May through the end of September. July and August are the hottest months, with sea breezes making temperatures in the 30s Celsius bearable. The climate is temperate year-round with only a few cold days annually. Of course, living along the Atlantic Ocean means an occasional threat from a hurricane, and the City of Myrtle Beach has Hurricane Preparedness Plans in place for such an event.
